Shivam Malhotra is a dual-licensed lawyer in India and Ontario and a Founding Partner at Malhotra & Puri Law LLP, based in Mississauga, Ontario. His primary areas of practice include Real Estate, Family Law, and Criminal Law.

With over six years of international litigation experience, Shivam has successfully handled a wide range of civil, criminal, and family law matters in India. Shivam has represented government departments and public institutions before the Court of Appeal in India. Shivam served as Standing Counsel for a state-owned electricity distribution company in the Province of Punjab, representing it in high-stakes regulatory and commercial disputes. In addition, he was empanelled with the Legal Aid Office for the State of Punjab, where he handled criminal and family law cases before the Hon’ble Court of Appeal in India. These roles reflect both his advocacy skills and his commitment to ensuring access to justice.

After relocating to Canada in 2022, Shivam began his legal career in immigration law, advising clients across the globe on complex business immigration matters. He later transitioned into real estate, family law, and criminal litigation areas that remain his core focus and passion today. Shivam represents a diverse range of clients across the Greater Toronto Area, including real estate investors, first-time home buyers, families, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking strong criminal defence or family law representation.
